The KMCH College of Occupational Therapy was established in the year 1995 as a unit of the Kovai Medical Center Research and Educational Trust. The College of Occupational Therapy is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu and is affiliated to the T.N. Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. It is also recognized by the All India Occupational Therapists Association (AIOTA) and World Federation of Occupational Therapy (WFOT) the licensing body for Occupational therapist's, which gives added advantage to the graduates of KMCHCOT to study and work anywhere in India and abroad.

The KMCH College of Occupational therapy offers both the B.O.T (Bachelor of Occupational Therapy - four and half year) and M.O.T (Master of Occupational Therapy programme -two years full time course) which started in the year 2005 in three specialties of Mental Health, Child Health and Neurology.
