TNEA 2018

TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) is an admission procedure organized for providing admission into engineering courses. These courses are offered by the various engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu. TNEA counselling is a single window process and admissions in Tamil Nadu engineering colleges are offered through such a process because authorities believe that such an initiative facilitates transparency.

Anna University will conduct TNEA 2018 counselling for admission to UG engineering programmes at participating universities tentatively in last week of June. Admission to engineering programmes will be based on marks obtained by candidates in PCM in the qualifying examination. No separate entrance exam will be held.

Eligibility

Tamil Nadu candidates who have passed their Class XII standard in Tamil Nadu.
Other state candidates who have studied from Class VIII to Class XII in Tamil Nadu.
Tamil Nadu native candidates who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI and XII standards or their equivalent examinations from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply for TNEA. They must enclose nativity certificate.
Children of Central Government Employees can also apply provided their parents have been working in TN for past five years.
